Civils Site Manager -

Location: Sunderland
Pay: £260-£270/day
Type: Full-time, Permanent

Main Purpose

Manage specialist civil engineering works on a live industrial recycling site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and in line with CDM Regulations 2015.

Core Responsibilities

• Oversee:
  • Concrete floor replacement
  • Sub-base excavation/rebuilds
  • Drainage works
  • Groundworks and infrastructure upgrades
  • Reinforced concrete/hardstanding works
• Manage subcontractors, labour, plant, and materials
• Ensure compliance with:
  • CDM Regulations 2015
  • RAMS
  • Permit-to-work systems
  • Temporary works procedures
• Run daily safety inspections, toolbox talks, and progress tracking
• Coordinate works within a live operational industrial environment
• Produce reports and maintain compliance/site documentation

Essential Experience

• Civil engineering or industrial infrastructure project management
• Strong health & safety/CDM knowledge
• Contractor supervision in live operational sites
• Groundworks, drainage, reinforced concrete experience

Required Certifications

• SMSTS
• CSCS Manager Card
• First Aid at Work
